1912 China Tsingtau German Automobile Car Club Enamel Badge
In 1912 the Tsingtau Automobile Club was founded in the German colony of Tsingtau (China), a local club of what was then the Imperial Automobile Club (today: AvD). This had 30 members. With the capitulation of the German colony of Tsingtau on November 7, 1914, the existence of the Automobil-Club Tsingtau ended after only two years, because the German defenders were taken to Japan as prisoners of war. Due to the capitulation and the subsequent occupation by the Japanese military, all of the club’s documents were unfortunately lost. Due to its short existence, very few of these badges were produced and most are in very good condition. Check out my other listings now for more Chinese antiques!
