MORGAN Car Badge – The MORGAN Three Wheeler Club Car Badge with Badge Stand – Very Good Condition. THE MORGAN THREE WHEELER CLUB CAR BADGES. Up to the late 1970s the Morgan Three Wheeler Club badges were crude, simple triangles, cast aluminium, that had been produced umpteen times from the same die. The time had come for a new proper badge, with a tab for a badge bar or grille fitting. Morgan Three Wheeler Club member Jim Baker had his own badge firm, so he set about re manufacturing. As a result these badges have become classics in their own right. There are three varieties available: chrome/enamel, chrome and a lighter version of painted aluminium. This particular example is the chrome and enamel version. The badge is displaying total originality. There are some very light surface marks to the badge face but nothing significant. There’s no enamel loss and no rust. All in all it’s a really nice thing and in great used condition. Please look closely at the photos and form your own opinion. The stand has been hand made and engineered from aluminium with a brushed alloy finish. The milled slot is approximately 5 mm wide with a felt insert. It stands alone and can be used in a cabinet, on a shelf, on a desk and/or anywhere else that has a flat surface. It’s been designed to hold and display a car badge upright and will hold most of the common manufacturers badges such as J R Gaunt, Renamel, J Fray Ltd, Marples & Beasley etc. The car badge simply sits in the milled slot, it is not fixed.
